Fantasy Fest Parade to Dazzle Viewers Oct. 29

The Bud Light Fantasy Fest Parade is a much-anticipated annual event in Key West, Florida. This year's parade is sure to dazzle viewers with its lavishly decorated floats, costumed characters, bands and marching groups. The theme of the parade is "Cult Classics & Cartoon Chaos," and entrants are encouraged to draw inspiration from cult films, plays, cartoons and classic entertainment.

The parade is the traditional highlight of the Fantasy Fest celebration, which is a 10-day event that features costuming and masking. Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend the parade, many of them in imaginative costumes. The parade will feature a variety of floats and costumes, and there will be cash prizes awarded for the most creative entries.

Tony Baltimore, a local songwriter and musician, will serve as the grand marshal of the parade. The Fantasy Fest king and queen will also be in attendance. The parade is scheduled to begin at 7 PM on October 29th at the intersection of Southard and Whitehead streets  and will make its way down Whitehead toward the Gulf of Mexico, turn onto Front Street and then proceed along the island’s famed Duval Street to the Atlantic Ocean.
