Key West Garden Club to Showcase Five Private Gardens Feb. 24-25

The Key West Garden Club is hosting its once-a-year garden tours on Friday and Saturday, February 24th and 25th. This is a great opportunity for nature enthusiasts to get an exclusive peek behind the walls and down the paths of some of the beautiful private gardens in Key West. The five gardens featured are all within a 10-minute walking distance of each other in the Midtown West area, and they have been chosen for their unique designs, plants, and landscaping.

At each garden, there will be docents providing detailed information about the plants on display. Additionally, there will be educational presentations on various aspects of horticulture offered at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m. on both days.

Tickets for the tours are $30 per person in advance, and can be purchased at the Key West Garden Club website. Tickets are valid for both days of the tour.

The Key West Garden Club is headquartered at the Civil War-era West Martello fort, which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. The club maintains and plants a lush large-scale garden within the ruins of the fort, with all plants donated and cared for by members and volunteers. The fort is open free of charge, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except major holidays.

Don't miss out on this rare chance to explore the beauty of the island's outdoor living areas. Buy your tickets today and join the Key West Garden Club for their once-a-year garden tours this February!
