Key West Food and Wine Festival to Tempt Appetites Jan. 25-29

The Key West Food & Wine Festival is coming to the United States' southernmost island city from January 25th to 29th. This edible extravaganza celebrates Key West's multicultural cuisine, talented chefs and culinary creativity through gourmet galas and tastings, classes, parties, and unique experiences. The festival is known for its various designations as one of the U.S.'s leading wine and cuisine events and this year is dedicating itself to Argentina.

The festivities kick off with the Carnival de Buenos Aires on Wednesday, January 25th. This event is held at Ocean Sotheby's International Realty from 4 pm to 7 pm, and VIP ticketholders are invited to a welcome reception and preview of the upcoming events. The evening features roasted meats, malbec, and traditional Argentine music at VIVA Argentinian Steakhouse. Guests are encouraged to wear their most colorful costumes.

The festival's highlight is the SLaM Grand Tasting, which occurs on Saturday, January 28th at the historic Key West Lighthouse and Keeper's Quarters. Here, guests can sample vintages from every wine region in Argentina, plus Latin-infused specialties.

Other stand-out events include the Argentine Experience luncheon class, Che Guevara's Wine Dinner, a traditional asado barbecue honoring Francis Mallmann, and the Last Tango in Cayo Hueso Brunch.
