Afro Roots Fest to Highlight Multicultural Rhythms in Key West April 27-28


Key West, Florida is set to play host to the annual Afro Roots Fest, a two-day celebration of multicultural music events taking place on April 27th and 28th. On the first day, audiences can experience Latin Grammy Award nominee Tomas Diaz alongside Afrogalactic Tropidelic icon the Nag Champayons in two standout performances at Green Parrot Bar. The following day, the Cuban folk and country band Cortadito, who are renowned for their mastery of the Afro-Cuban musical form, will perform in the Helmerich Theatre at the Studios of Key West. The Afro Roots Fest is now in its 25th season and has been staged by Community Arts and Culture, a nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating, preserving and presenting a diverse range of cultural music and arts offerings for over 20 years.
