Salty Goat Fishing Charters - Key West Half-Day Trip

Salty Goat Fishing Charters offers a classic Key West party boat fishing experience from Galleon Marina at 619 Front Street, giving families, solo anglers, and groups an easy way to enjoy reef fishing without booking a private charter. The 5-hour public trip runs from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with check-in at 8:30 AM, making it a convenient morning adventure with plenty of time left for the rest of the day.

Guests fish aboard the Salty Goat, a 50-foot Coast Guard inspected vessel powered by a 400HP turbo diesel engine and equipped with safety gear, electronic fish-finding equipment, an onboard bathroom, and a fish cooler. The charter targets popular Key West reef species such as snapper, grouper, mackerel, and shark, depending on season and conditions.

Each trip includes fishing licenses, bait, tackle, rods, reels, fish cleaning, and help from an experienced crew. The mates assist with baiting hooks, dehooking fish, icing the catch, and filleting and bagging fish back at the dock so guests can take their catch home or enjoy a cook-your-catch meal at a local restaurant.

Current public-trip pricing listed by the operator is $85 for adults, $75 for military, police, fire, and EMS guests, and $70 for children 12 and under, with tax included. Private charters are also available and start at $1,900 for a 5-hour minimum trip, not including gratuity.
