Experience Key West flats and backcountry fishing with Shadow Caster Charters, a private light-tackle charter departing from A&B Marina at 700 Front Street, Slip #3. Guided by experienced local captains, these trips explore the shallow flats, mangrove channels, protected basins, and calm backcountry waters surrounding Key West.

Shadow Caster Charters is built for anglers who want a more personal day on the water. Trips are limited to 1–4 anglers, giving each guest room to fish, learn, and enjoy the backcountry without the crowded feel of a larger party boat. The Pathfinder 22 Backcountry/Flats boat is designed for skinny water access, sight-fishing opportunities, and comfortable movement through protected areas around the Lower Keys.

Choose from half-day, 3/4-day, or full-day fishing trips depending on how much time you want on the water. Depending on the season and conditions, anglers may target tarpon, permit, barracuda, sharks, jacks, snapper, sea trout, and other Key West inshore species. Each charter is adjusted around weather, tides, bait movement, and current fishing activity to give guests the best available opportunity for the day.

Captains Justin, Travis, and John bring local knowledge, patient instruction, and years of experience fishing the Key West flats and backcountry. Beginners can learn basic techniques in calm water, while experienced anglers can focus on sight-casting, seasonal tarpon, permit, sharks, barracuda, and other shallow-water targets.

Trips include rods, reels, bait, tackle, fishing license, ice, bottled water, and fish cleaning for edible catches. Guests should bring sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, snacks, beverages, a hat, and a camera.
