The energy of race week ignites Duval Street as the First State Bank World’s Fastest Boat Parade takes over Old Town during the RWO Key West World Championships. This legendary tradition transforms the island’s main street into a rolling showcase of offshore powerboats, drawing thousands of fans eager to witness the roar of engines and the pride of world-class racing teams.
A Day Packed with Excitement
The action begins at Race Village in Truman Waterfront Park, open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, where fans can explore displays, see the boats up close, and meet racing crews. By 3:30 PM, the parade participants line up, building anticipation before the engines fire and the procession launches.
At 4:00 PM sharp, the streets come alive as an electrifying convoy of offshore racing boats rolls from Truman Waterfront Park through Southard, Whitehead, United, Duval, and Front Streets before looping back to Southard. Spectators line Duval Street, cheering as each machine passes in a rumbling wave of horsepower, artistry, and racing spirit.
Street Closure Information
To ensure safety during the parade, a rolling street closure will be in effect throughout the route. Traffic will be temporarily halted, so attendees and drivers navigating Old Town are encouraged to plan ahead.
The Celebration After the Parade
When the last boat passes, the celebration continues with Racers & Fans Sunday Funday at 409 Caroline Street, Naval Air Station Key West, from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM. This post-parade party is the perfect chance to mingle with racing teams, enjoy live entertainment, and keep the adrenaline flowing well into the evening.
