Tipper Newton is an actor, award-winning filmmaker, and musician living in Los Angeles. She played the role of Karen on Fox TV & Hulu’s, The Mindy Project, and is the writer/director of the short films Wild Card and The Dangerous Type. The Studio's Stephen Kitsakos sits down with Tipper to discuss her filmmaking and acting career, as well as screen a curated selection of short films. Tipper is a visiting artist and is currently working on her first feature film screenplay. Wait Until Tonight takes place in a small Florida city about a restless working-class pool cleaner who gets involved with a mysterious drifter. 6 p.m. at the Helmerich Theater.
