Tab Benoit, the Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and guitarist famed for his gritty and soulful Delta swamp blues, is coming to the Key West Theater. With a career spanning more than 30 years, Benoit has won widespread acclaim, securing five Blues Music Awards, including two for BB King Entertainer of the Year, and earning an induction into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.
Known for dynamic live performances, Benoit has collaborated with renowned musicians such as Willie Nelson, Dr. John, George Porter Jr., Junior Wells, and Cyril Neville, creating a loyal following around the globe.
His commitment extends beyond music into environmental activism, as founder of Voice of the Wetlands, a prominent organization dedicated to protecting Louisiana’s endangered coastal ecosystems. Benoit’s environmental work was honored in 2010 when he received the Governor’s Award for Conservationist of the Year from the Louisiana Wildlife Federation. His passion for conservation was further showcased in the IMAX documentary Hurricane on the Bayou, highlighting the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and emphasizing the urgency to restore coastal wetlands.
