The Spanish Fly Shark Tournament returns for its second year, scheduled for April 3rd-5th, 2025 at the Key West Yacht Club. This annual event challenges competitive anglers to capture the most bull sharks while paying tribute to legendary fisherman Jose Wejebe and his iconic TV show, Spanish Fly. The tournament will debut on Outdoor America, marking its first exclusive filming on FAST TV and broadcast channels, ensuring that the excitement reaches a broader audience.
More than just a fishing competition, the tournament is dedicated to conservation and education, partnering with local organizations to gather essential data on bull sharks in the Florida Keys. The event not only celebrates sport fishing but also contributes to preserving marine ecosystems for future generations.
Registration is now open with a discounted pre-registration fee of $475 available until March 27th, 2025. Anglers can access detailed tournament rules and app tutorials via the Jose Wejebe Spanish Fly Memorial Foundation portal.
