Monday, May 26, 2025 transforms Key West Bight into a sunny stage as the 34th Annual Schooner Wharf Minimal Regatta unleashes its famously quirky plywood-and-duct-tape fleet. Boat inspection at 12:30 p.m. precedes the first heat at 1:30 p.m., where daring crews paddle—or promptly sink—while balmy breezes, sparkling water, and cold beer keep participants and spectators perfectly cool. From Schooner Wharf Bar’s waterfront railings, crowds cheer outrageous designs, colorful costumes, and spectacular splash-downs that showcase Key West’s unmatched ingenuity.
