Paul Reiser is one of Hollywood's most prolific creatives, and he shows no signs of slowing down. The actor, comedian, television writer, author and musician is currently starring in two hit shows for Netflix: Stranger Things and The Kominsky Method.
Reiser received rave reviews for his performance in The Kominsky Method, with one critic calling a particular scene "one of the finest moments seen anywhere on television." He returned for the third and final season of the show, which is now streaming on Netflix.
The actor also revived one of his most iconic roles in the highly-anticipated return of Mad About You. The Emmy, Peabody and Golden Globe-winning comedy originally ended in May 1999, but Reiser and his co-star Helen Hunt returned for a limited series 20 years later. All seven seasons of the original Mad About You and the reboot are available for streaming on Amazon Prime.
In addition to his work on television, Reiser has also starred in a number of films, including the Academy Award-winning Whiplash, John McDonagh's War on Everyone and Jeff Baena's The Little Hours and Horse Girl. He will next be seen in Matt Weiner's limited Amazon series The Romanoffs alongside Christina Hendricks and Isabelle Huppert.
Reiser is also a fixture behind the camera, having co-created and co-produced There's Johnny!, a seven-episode series which originally streamed on Hulu and is now available on Peacock. The show, which Reiser co-created with filmmaker David Steven Simon and co-produced with David Gordon Green, has been praised by critics as "a television experience unlike any I've seen on TV in recent years."
In addition to his many creative endeavors, Reiser is also a successful author. His first book, Couplehood, sold over two million copies and reached the number one spot on The New York Times best sellers list. His subsequent books, Babyhood and Familyhood, were also best sellers.
Reiser regularly performs standup at sold-out venues nationwide and was voted one of the "Top 100 Comedians of All Time" by Comedy Central. He is also a SUNY Binghamton graduate in the prestigious music program, and co-wrote the theme song from Mad About You with Grammy-winning producer Don Was.
Throughout his prolific career, Reiser has received multiple Emmy, Golden Globe, American Comedy Award and Screen Actors Guild nominations. He currently resides in Los Angeles with his family.
