Guy Harvey, Ph.D., world-renowned artist, scientist, conservationist and entrepreneur will host two separate events at Papa’s Pilar Rum Distillery's Hemingway Social Club at 201 Simonton Street to celebrate the launch of his new book: “10,000 Chicken Sandwiches – The Story of my Fishing Family, Jamaica 1956-1986.” A portion of proceeds from sales of the new book, and all Guy Harvey merchandise, benefit ocean research, education and conservation initiatives through the Guy Harvey Foundation. The first event is the "Lecture and Libations" fundraising brunch from 10 a.m. to noon. Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door. Then, there is a book signing that is free and open to the public from 2 to 5 p.m. at the same location, where Dr. Harvey will be available for meet-and-greets, photo ops, and book and merchandise signings.
