Nature enthusiasts and families will delight in the 22nd Annual GardenFest Key West: The Green Market Place 2025, hosted at the Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM EST. Located at 5210 College Road, Key West, FL, this beloved event offers free admission and showcases the garden’s exceptional beauty, diverse flora, and eco-friendly products.
Attendees can explore a vibrant market featuring rare and native plants, orchids, ornamental shrubs, and unique arts and crafts. Vendors from the Garden’s Native Plant Nursery and others will provide an extensive selection of plants suitable for both home and business gardens. Supporting native plant species benefits local wildlife, including birds and butterflies, while reducing the need for fertilizers, pesticides, and extensive irrigation.
Activities include docent-guided tours twice throughout the day, offering visitors historical and ecological insights into the Garden’s two wetland habitats, butterfly gardens, and state-champion trees. Families are encouraged to visit the Children’s Nature Corner, participate in science-based activities, or explore the interactive musical instrument area.
Guests can also enjoy refreshments ranging from specialty coffee drinks and Italian ice to sandwiches and snacks. The Garden’s bartenders will serve adult beverages, cocktails, sodas, and water. Additionally, attendees can participate in a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and browse displays from conservation-focused organizations showcasing eco-friendly and up-cycled products.
