Key West's PRIDE 2023 festival celebrates diversity with a tropical island vibe and a packed schedule of events. The event honors the philosophy of 'One Human Family' and highlights the island's open and accepting atmosphere. The festival's program is filled with unique events starting from Tuesday, June 6, with a pre-opening Pride event, "Real Men Do Drag" charity, to Sunday, June 11 with the Pride Parade and closing Pride ceremony. Highlights of the program include:
- Tuesday, June 6: The Pre-opening Pride charity event benefiting Smart Ride, a charity supporting AIDS service organizations.
- Wednesday, June 7: The Pride Kick-off Luncheon “Celebrating 20 Years of the Sea-to-Sea Diversity Flag,” and the 20th Anniversary of the Sea-to-Sea Diversity Flag Bash at Hard Rock Café.
- Thursday, June 8: The Pride Wine tasting, "Tea on the Sea" sunset sail, and the Vibrator races for Charity: Pride Edition.
- Friday, June 9: Kat’s "Are You Wet" Pool Party, the Pride 20th Anniversary Sea-to-Sea Diversity Flag Laser Light Show, and the PJ BASH.
- Saturday, June 10: The Big Gay 5K Key West, the Key West Pride Street Fair, and the "Somewhere Over the Rain Glow Underwear Glow party."
- Sunday, June 11: Various Pride services at local churches, the Key West Pride Drunken' Drag Brunch, and the Pride Parade: Celebrating 20 years of the Sea-to-sea Diversity flag.
In addition to these events, drag shows, movie nights, live theatre performances like "HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH", and more will be held at different locations throughout the week. Attendees can also enjoy specials at the 801 Bourbon Bar, Pride anthems, and classic LGBTQ+ movies all week long. The festival guarantees to be a blend of fun, charity, and celebration of diversity in the spirit of the island's 'One Human Family' philosophy.
