Key West Lobsterfest 2026 returns for its 28th annual celebration from August 5–9, 2026, marking the official opening of Florida’s spiny lobster regular season with a five-day island-wide festival centered on Duval Street and select historic venues. Recognized as one of Key West’s signature culinary events, this annual festival honors the island’s deep-rooted commercial lobstering heritage dating back to the early 1800s while delivering one of the most anticipated summer experiences in the Florida Keys.

The festival officially launches on Thursday, August 6, 2026, with the highly sought-after Original Lobster Boil at the historic Porter Mansion courtyard at Caroline’s Cafe from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM. This limited-capacity event signals the opening of the Florida spiny lobster season and traditionally sells out quickly. Friday’s programming continues with a FREE pool party at Marker Key West Harbor Resort (3:00 PM – 6:00 PM) followed by the popular Duval Street Pub Crawl (8:00 PM – Midnight), featuring participating bars and an official Lobsterfest T-shirt included with admission.

The centerpiece of the festival takes over Duval Street (100–500 blocks) on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from Noon – 11:00 PM, transforming the west side of Duval into a pedestrian-only street fair filled with local artisans, cold beverages, and Florida spiny lobster prepared in countless creative styles by Key West bars and restaurants. The day culminates with a FREE live concert lineup, headlined at 8:00 PM by The Durtbags, alongside performances by Just George, Tim Hollohan, and Jordan Oaks.

The celebration concludes on Sunday, August 9, 2026, with a morning Artisan Market (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM) at the Southernmost Resort parking lot featuring local produce, breads, crafts, and lobster-focused bites, followed by the indulgent Lobster Brunch at First Flight Island Restaurant & Brewery (ticketed event). A final pool party at Southernmost Beach Resort (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM) includes a crowd-favorite lobster roll eating contest at 2:00 PM, closing out the weekend in true Key West fashion.
