The Key West Film Festival returns November 18–22, 2026, for its 15th annual celebration of film, bringing five days of screenings, filmmakers and special programming to Old Town Key West. This year marks an important homecoming as the festival returns to Tropic Cinema, the independent nonprofit theater at 416 Eaton Street where the Key West Film Festival was originally founded in 2012.
Known for combining outstanding cinema with the intimate atmosphere of Key West, the festival presents a curated selection of new films, independent productions, documentaries, emerging filmmakers and classic cinematic gems. Festival programming traditionally creates opportunities for audiences to experience films alongside discussions, special presentations and appearances connected to the filmmaking community.
The return to Tropic Cinema brings the festival back to its roots. Located just off Duval Street in historic Old Town, the Tropic provides an intimate setting dedicated to celebrating cinema as an art form and has long been an important part of Key West's cultural community.
Over five days, the Key West Film Festival brings together film lovers, visiting filmmakers and the island's creative community for a distinctly Key West celebration of storytelling and cinema. Rather than the sprawling atmosphere of a large metropolitan film festival, KWFF offers audiences the opportunity to experience noteworthy films and filmmaking talent within the walkable historic center of Key West.
The 15th annual Key West Film Festival takes place November 18–22, 2026, with Tropic Cinema at 416 Eaton Street serving as the festival's home. Individual films, screening times, special presentations, guests and additional festival programming will be added as the complete 2026 lineup is announced.
