Intermediate Drum Master Class w. Lee Venters

The Key West Theater is excited to offer an Intermediate Drum Master Class with Lee Venters! This class is designed for students who have already taken a beginners class or have some experience playing drums. Each session will focus on bass and drum set interplay, and Vic Firth tools. Students will also learn about posture, breathing, technique, syncopation and level of intensity. The class is free for Keys Kids ages 8-18, and 10% of all proceeds will be donated to Bahama Village Music Program. Lee Venters is a multi-instrumentalist who studied at Berklee College of Music. He is actively working full time as a drummer in Key West, FL. He has directed more than fifty drum clinics and workshops across the US, founded the Music School of Wilmington and is an arranger, composer and producer. Lee is one of the founding members of the National Education Program (NEP) for Vic Firth. He has just been named a Board Member of the Bahama Village Music Program and recently joined the music education staff at The Grateful Guitar. Jeff Dalton will be accompanying Lee on bass. Jeff is a world class level musician, composer and recording artist as well as founder of Sunrise Music Studio in Marathon, FL. Lee and Jeff perform together in a myriad of genres and performance venues.
