Come experience a weekend full of exciting events and paddleboarding challenges at the 26th Annual Key West Paddle Classic, happening on September 30, 2023, at Higgs Beach. The event will kick off on Friday, September 29th with a Lift E-foil Clinic check-in at 3:00 pm, followed by the E-foil Clinic from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Later on, the Kick-Off Party/Packet Pick-Up/Late Registration will begin with check-ins from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, where you can pre-order breakfast, smoothies, juices, coffees, teas, elixirs, and more. Additionally, free beer will be available.

On Saturday, the race day schedule will be announced and is subject to change based on conditions. Breakfast order pick-ups will begin at 7:00 am, and all events will take place at Higgs Beach. The race will start from Higgs Beach, and the course will take participants south towards the Southernmost Point, through the Key West harbor, around the USCG base, and under the Fleming Key Bridge. From there, participants will cross the sailboat mooring field and paddle around Dredger's Key (Sigsbee) into Cow Key Channel, which connects Key West and Stock Island. The exit from Cow Key Channel is back out at the front side, and the course continues past Smather's Beach and White St. Pier before returning to Higgs Beach for the finish.

Remember that participants must follow specific rules, including SUP rules of a five-stroke maximum, and drafting is only allowed with the same gender and same class. The race must be completed within five hours, and if a participant must paddle on their knees, they must inform the timing team once they cross the finish line to disqualify themselves from any awards.

For safety reasons, the USCG requires all participants to wear a PFD during the race, and a leash is recommended. Paddlers are responsible for their hydration supply. Safety boats will line the course at the start, Key West Harbor, Fleming, Cow Key, Smathers, and White St./Higgs.

Join the Key West Paddle Classic for a fun-filled weekend of challenging paddleboarding activities while taking in the beautiful scenery of Key West.
