Beartoe’s music blends elements of soul, blues, country, and folk to create a powerful and original sound.In 2020, during the stillness of the pandemic, Beartoe joined forces with a powerhouse lineup of kindred spirits: John Lee Wyatt, Derek Engstrom (Leisure Chief), Anthony Cole (Sam Rivers, JJ Grey & Mofro), and Andrew Rice (The Legendary JC’s). Together, they became Beartoe & The Midnight Howl—a band whose sound pulses with Florida soul, swampy delta blues, and the deep roots of American music.With a chemistry that’s both fiery and fluid, the group embodies the spirit of collaboration: multi-instrumental songwriters weaving grit and groove into something timeless yet distinctly their own.
