After living in Key West for 20 years or so (she doesn’t remember how many exactly), Kathy recently moved back to the Boston area. She’s been performing at Comedy Key West since the start, The Key West Theater, The Green Parrot, the San Carolos Theater and the Orlando Improv. She was picked to perform at the Flamingo, Brickell and NY Underground Comedy Festivals. Up north she performs often in Boston and New Hampshire. Audiences relate to her dry, and let’s face it, awkward take on everyday situations. Her inspiration comes from working with the general public for more than 20 years, traveling the world and mostly the clarity that comes from a good nap and would rather be home on her couch with her dog. Kathy Gilmour got her start at Comedy Key West where she performed weekly for seven years. She’s coming home to Key West to perform with some of her faves for a fundraiser for those with Parkinson’s Disease. She has done an insane thing by signing up for an endurance event at the end of October and has decided to use the opportunity to raise funds for the Shawn Thornton Foundation for the Parkinson’s fight to honor friends and family.
