OUR STORY: Mystic Lobster Roll Company began almost 30 years ago when a young 21-year-old minor league baseball player was working in restaurants to make extra money. After his career ended, he found himself deeply immersed in the restaurant industry, taking his passion for sports into his new love—the restaurant business.
Early on, I had the privilege of working for some amazing chefs, including a Michelin star chef. In the summer of 1993, I traveled up and down the Northeast coast from Connecticut to the tip of Maine, experiencing the most amazing lobster rolls I’d ever had. For the next 25 years, I worked at high-profile restaurants and owned a few myself, always including our delicious lobster rolls on the menu but never finding the perfect moment to showcase them fully.
In February 2020, we discovered beautiful Ship Bottom, New Jersey, and knew it was the ideal place to start Mystic Lobster Roll Company. Our lobster rolls gained instant popularity, leading to rapid growth and four locations. Our goal is for everyone to experience a true Maine lobster roll.
